June 24, 2013 - Last week in the Spokane Mission--Officially in the WA Kennewick Mission

Dear Family,
Do you like it?? - Mom says, "Gross!"
This week has been great!!!  I love my new companion. He is Elder Carpenter. We have had an interesting week. We both got sick; I saw a child prodigy play the violin, and I electrocuted myself with 220 watt oven wires ...  I helped eat cherries as a investigator butchered a cow.  I met a member of the Seventy, Elder Pieper. He has the constant "I love you" because he is missing his middle and fourth fingers.  All in all, it was a good week.
umm...the other part of the cow
So this is my last P-day here in the Spokane mission.  Now I am official. I'm in the Washington Kennewick Mission*. I love being with my new companion. He is great.  Sorry the letter is a bit short.
The ward here is great. They really love me and my companion.  We have a few people who will be baptized in the next month or so.  They are moving along quite nicely... so last weekend I was a solo with the priests in the ward. It was good.  So much happened, but the numbers where blah. A lot happened but the important stuff is I became more like Christ and showed that I love him and my fellowman. That's what I did this week I hope next week is the same.
You have to zoom in, but I burnt my thumb by electrocution
Well I know that the church is true. and I know that God blesses and guides our lives.  When we have a challenge that we don't think we can beat or keeps beating us, we just need to ask ourselves what part of the doctrine do I not understand and study it. The study of doctrine will change behavior faster than the study of behavior will change behavior. I know that the Savior lives. The study of the plan of salvation will and can make you happier than the study of happiness. I have done both.  I love God, and I love you. I hope that you can feel the love I have for you and know that there is nothing better than being a representative of Christ.

Love, Elder Pinegar

P.S. Shout out to Igleski** on getting engaged. That is how we do it, and I now have a 6 pack.

* Mattawa is now part of the WA Kennewick Mission -- so Nick's current address has not changed. The mission home address should be posted by next week.
** Elder Igleski was Nick's trainer and first companion in the mission field.
