Dear Family,
First off. thank you for all the pictures. I really enjoyed them. I'm proud of Spencer. He is becoming a great man, making being great a habit is important. Good choice dodging the first boating trip of the year, those are always a flop lol. Sorry mom they are just the most stressful.

I haven't gotten any mail here... I don't know if you have the wrong address or if paper prices have gone up... I hope it's the latter, because I would hate to have lost a letter. Sister Sayben--not so sure if the spelling is right--is the daily dose teacher in the ward here. She teaches English to people. We help her, and she is a great member missionary. Her favorite hobby is to bake cookies, and that is always a plus. She also found your blog about me, and she really likes it so using her name might be OK lol. She is a cool lady. She will be dropping by around June ninth with a box I want put on a shelf and not opened if that would be ok.. plz
My Spanish is getting better and better. It's just hard to slow down and think about which word is most correct to use. I just love to speak and sound as fast as those around me, so it's hard to slow down and think it through. I never did like thinking before acting.
We have an investigator who is progressing towards baptism quite nicely. He will be baptized in the next month and a couple others who need to get divorced and then married before they can be baptized. (can you look up what you need to do if you can't find your spouse and you want a divorced to get a divorce in the state of Washington so many people are married in Mexico and then not able to get baptized because of that, cause you can't get married again till you have a divorce first. I would just be so thrilled if we could figure a way to help with this. I just have so many ready people who just need to do that before they get baptized. )
We have people in church here about every week. I have yet to have a Sunday here that I haven't had an investigator in church. I kinda like that. It's a good change. I also have had more home courts here (lessons with an investigator in a members home) then I have had in my whole mission so far.

So I have really enjoyed my time here in Mattawa. I haven't ever felt like a celebrity till I came here. The people here treat me like if I where to run for a while and sign my shirt, rip it off and throw it to them, they would fight for it.. they just love me. I love it.
I had the opportunity to speak in English in church, and boy oh boy I loved it. I went a full 20 minutes and everyone loved it. I think one of my strengths is public speaking. I told a story about how earlier in the week I had eaten some apple pie that was way too hot because I got distracted while microwaving it. Then when I took a bite, that it burnt my mouth to high heaven, and then I swallowed it because it was too hot to have in my mouth and it burnt my insides. ( I think I might have done some damage there..... I'll let you know if it gets better...) Anyways, I compared it to sinning and then hiding it. How when you sin, if you take care of it right away, you will be just fine and heal really fast. Where as if you hide your sins, it's like swallowing lava like I did. And it will burn and hurt you way worse. Well it was great. I know that Christ has a plan and the ability to help us if we but "spit it up" and rid ourselves of sin.
Love you all,
Elder Pinegar
P.S. If you steal my analogy, I will hunt you down...
