June 3, 2013 - More Shoulder to the Wheel

Dear Family,
Quick hands for Elder Pinegar result in success -
Mattawa, WA 6-13
This week has been a good week. I think that I am excited to change missions* but kinda scared that my friend Elder Cybulski won't be in the cut.... (he is in Spokane right now.)
The time here has gotten faster.  I got to go on an exchange with Elder Trevon Leavitt.  He is part of Willie's crew. He is friends with little and big Chris. His fam is off of 4th S in Orem. He was in a different stake so... never got to see him when I was a kid.   His family name out here is like mine in Provo, everyone knows who we come from.

"I caught a bird!" This isn't the first time he's done this-
He's caught several over the years, including a hummingbird,
Anyways, we did it this week. We went from 7-9 lessons a week from when I first got here, to 23 this week. That's what I like!! Continual progression, because we have put more shoulder to the wheel. The cart is moving farther and farther.  One of the people that we started teaching is at Words of Mormon. She is a superstar!! I think she is going to make it to the waters of  baptism...

Well, Arturo dropped us.... so that's that. I got the same amount of info-- won't say why and didn't even get to hear it for myself. I got it through the grapevine.  Kinda a bummer, but it opens up more time to find the elect.

Tammy was mentioned in paragraph two, and we taught the plan of salvation and explained the existence of a God that loves her.  She now believes the Father, Son and Holy Ghost to be three beings, separate in body, but united in purpose. The ward mission leader has been a real driving force. We would never have made it this far without him.  I'm super glad to have a ward that is so active and great.  We will have a third lesson at their house this Wednesday. This is great.

So we have had two people come up to us this week. The first one was at church (I got to teach Gospel principles by myself in Spanish.... but I was excited)  So right before the class I was suppose to teach, I ran into a lady from the English ward who told me she had a friend that she wanted me to be baptize. We said OK.  She explained that the person came up to her and told her that he wanted to be baptized.... that never happens!!! So we set up an apt with her at 7 tonight, and then after church a young man came up and told us he wanted to change and if we were the people to talk to.  We set up a time on Friday and Saturday to see him later this week in a member's  home. Now I just got to find a member to have us.

Reynolds is progressing, but he didn't make it to church today. So... I'm not sure where his priorities  are, but I think if we give him some more time he will be fine.  It takes time for some to get it and loving care on the part of those who do get it.

So this week was bad for my diet...... I ate a can of pears.... 6.9 lbs in 1 hour....
A can of pears doesn't seem like a huge deal until you see the can!!

I had a great week, aside from that I went playing with Brother Seyben .

So yeah, I have the life right now.  I can't imagine being Elder Wait--12 day till death and getting closer by the second.

I know that God lives. I had a reaffirmation this week while teaching the plan of salvation. 2 nephi 2:13, and I know that because God lives, we have a purpose.  I know my purpose because of my knowledge of God and His purpose. See Moses 1:39, 2 Nephi 2:25

We too should try to make life the best for everyone. and not just this part of life.  Thanks Dad.
