| Zone conference - Notice how the senior Elder is in the picture twice :) |
My week as been a great week. The thorn has been thrown out and trodden under foot, and the household is progressing once again. This week we have worked on talking to everyone. I had 101 quality gospel conversations. I was trying to build up my potential investigators pool. Unfortunately, I will not be baptizing this transfer (sad face), the investigator we had didn't come this week. So that's a bummer. but we placed tons of Books of Mormon this week and things will be great for whoever comes here next or whoever stays.
This week is going really well. I think that we have done our best. Ask mom is she has been to see Sister Metcalf* yet and why not if no. Tell Bekah that I am proud of her first ticket** and to imagine it with a very condemning little girl in her passenger seat, asking to ride home with the cop, (that happened with her.) how much more awkward it would have been.
This week I lived off of chicken for every meal (yes breakfast and lunch and dinner). We had a weird credit card change here so the cash got kinda short, and I think I'm starting to look pretty good. Fon't worry, it will all be OK. I got more cash now. It's a new month. Thanks for the honey. Honey is expensive and the dehydrated honey does the same thing. I use the honey I have for sleepy time tea, Dad and I used to drink it. It reminds me of him. I do get invited to dinner. I usually have one or two meals a week. My comp says that this area is the least feed area he has ever served in. I 'm OK with it. I want to get a six pack so it works for me. :) We have a mission rule that you can't eat with members without an investigator present, except Saturday and Sunday. I work in a small branch not a ward yet that has 3 sets of full time missionaries assigned to it, so it's hard to ask things from the members because I feel that they are stretched pretty thin. I was able to buy a rice cooker this week it is going to be a good week.
We knocked for 40+ hours this week. It was good. I really felt productive, and we found some great potentials (sorry for any repeats I do some here and there). We do not have anymore snow. It has been rather warm actually. So it has been a great week. I taught about 18 lessons this week.
Shout out to you for selling the Spanish Fork four-plexes and avoiding unnecessary taxes. I got a package from the gf Liza this week. I know that I was suppose to open it later for Valentines, but if you give a Nick a package... he is going to open it.
Love,
Elder Pinegar
* Sister Metcalf is his companion's mom
** Bekah got pulled over for speeding this week. Fortunately, she only got a warning.
